Collaborating with DLA Architects on the New Ingham Dealership in Taupo, we utilised Armstrong Metalworks Vector edge tiles with M10 perforation for both aesthetic appeal and acoustic performance in the main showroom. These tiles have been featured in several Ingham Car Dealerships. Ingham operates 24 dealerships, representing 12 renowned brands across the North Island.
The Metalworks Vector edge tiles offer a sleek, semi-concealed appearance by using the Armstrong Prelude 24mm exposed grid suspension system. The perforated tiles fit into the grid and are secured by a spring mechanism, ensuring a clean and quick installation with no visible fixings. The M10 perforation provides a 16% open area and an NRC of up to 0.75 with Acoustical Fleece. This fleece is heat-bonded to the back of the tile, optimizing flow resistance for superior sound absorption. Additional infill can be added to achieve higher NRC and CAC values if required.
Metalworks Vector tiles come in standard powder-coated colours or a Timber Grain finish, offering a soft, natural look to interior spaces. Custom sizes, finishes, and perforation options are also available. These tiles are a cost-effective and lightweight alternative to pre-slotted timber or Ply/MDF ceilings.
The build also incorporated Pink® Batts®, Quakworx Seismic restraints, and Studco HEDA Jamb.
